Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth's radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents -- considered expendable by society -- are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life...or it could be a suicide mission.

CLARKE was arrested for treason, though she's haunted by the memory of what she really did. WELLS, the chancellor's son, came to Earth for the girl he loves -- but will she ever forgive him? Reckless BELLAMY fought his way onto the transport pod to protect his sister, the other half of the only pair of siblings in the universe. And GLASS managed to escape back onto the ship, only to find that life there is just as dangerous as she feared it would be on Earth.

Confronted with a savage land and haunted by secrets from their pasts, the hundred must fight to survive. They were never meant to be heroes, but they may be mankind's last hope.

If you didn't know already, this book was actually made into a tv show. My 2 sisters intruduced me to the show, and by the first episode I was hooked. Once I completed watching season 1, I went straight to the book depository to the buy the book.
So if you can not yet tell, I was super pumped to read this book.

First off, this book was not what I expected. The TV show is wayyyyy different. The book has a character called Glass, who is definitely not in the TV show.. I was quite shocked to find that big change.
Also if you have seen the television show, FINN IS NOT IN THE BOOK. LIKE WHAT!!??! I find Finn a massive character in the show, and to find him not in the book is depressing.

One of the things I love about the book is the names of the characters. Lots of the names are so unique and different! Some of the names I like are Bellamy, Octavia and Clarke. These 3 names are so quirky and funky!

I would say this book is quite a short one. Only about 330 pages with small chapters. This makes the book a quick, fun, easy read. The novel doesn't drag on for too long which is great.

The story that goes along with this book is really fast paced and gripping. There's never really a boring moment so it's hard to stop reading! :P

Now... I have to say something I think I might regret. I like the TV show better than the book. THERE, I said it. Honestly the show is so great and amazing, and the book is just good. But PLEASE don't take my word and not read the book, do whatever you feel like!

Soooo, thats the end of my review I guess. If you have not read the book, please do. And if you need some convincing, watch a few episodes of the show - I'm sure it will help.

I am super excited to read the next few books in the series, and I hope you do to! :)

I rated this book a 4/5 stars.

Happy Reading Everyone,
Chelsea :P

Fangirl - Book Review

Author: Rainbow Rowell
Edition: Pan Macmillan Paperback
Released: September 10th 2013
Pages: 461 Approx.

Cath and Wren are identical twins, and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren's decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair any more - she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It's not so easy for Cath. She's horribly shy and has always buried herself in the fan fiction she writes, where she always knows exactly what to say and can write a romance far more intense than anything she's experienced in real life.

Now Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she's realizing that there's more to learn about love than she ever thought possible ...

This Young Adult book has been on my TBR for literally 6 months. So when It was given to me as a gift, I was over the moon.
This book definitely has a lot of hype throughout the young adult community so of course I had to give it a go.

To be honest, this book did not live up to my exceptations. I was bored for the first half of the novel, and I tried really hard to get into it. I think the story just dragged on and I was not getting hooked.

In the real world i must say, I hate fan fiction. I have just never found it interesting. Maybe that had a part to play in my opinion on this book, as there is a lot about fan fiction throughout Fangirl.

The biggest thing I liked about this book was the romance, which mostly only occured in the last quarter of the novel. Cath and Levi become a really adorable couple which I loved.

So if you are looking for a cute, heart warming story. I definitely recommend you to give this one a go!

I rated this book a 4/5 stars.

Happy Reading Everyone :P

Hey book lovers!
It's time for another review. :P

I am extremely sorry that I have not posted in quite a while, Christmas and work have kept me busy over the last few weeks so there wasn't much time to blog.
Now I'll stop with the blubber and get along with the review.

This book is the 3rd and final book in the Anna and the French Kiss companion series I guess...
If you have read my other reviews, you would know that Anna was my all time favorite book in this trilogy, even after reading Isla.
Most reviews I have read liked the books most in the order from start to finish, but my opinion was a bit different.
I loved Anna, Really liked Isla and just liked Lola. Seems a bit complicated, but it's really not.

Instead of making this review drag on I am just going to make a list of the positives in this novel:

- The romance was super cute and heart warming.
- This book hooked me in, I couldn't stop reading it.
- The author has really captured the type of writing that many young adult readers love.
- This novel showed us more about the characters in the 2 previous books. ( Anna and Etienne ect.)

As for the negative list, there really isan't one. I found this book so much fun so read and I'll be looking foward to the future books that Stephanie Perkins will write.

Happy Reading Everyone :P
