Book Review - Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles #1

Goodreads summary:
Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl.

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

Honestly I actually loved this book so much.
Marissa Meyer has done an amazing job of creating such a unique novel about cinderella with twist.
I would catorgorise this book in the Sci-Fi / Fantasy genres, and thats perfect as those are both one of my favorite genres!

First lets talk about the main characters.
Cinder is such a cool character, also she is a cyborg which is totally AWESOME! Cinder is so funny! Her character's sarcasm is on point and half the things she says crack me up, she is definitaly the perfect type of character for this novel.
Lets talk about Kai now, Kai is the prince of new beijing and he seeks Cinder to fix his android for him. When he goes to meet Cinder at her mechanic's booth theres a hint of flirtation there from Prince Kai which is so ADORABLE!!! Ok cmon when you read this book you will see that Kai is totally swoon worthy. ahhhh I love Kai.
Ok guys last thing about the characters in this book. Iko. Iko is Cinders android thingy and oh my gosh she is so cute! She follows Cinder around and helps her with everything and and Iko also has a celebrity crush on Kai!!!! She is such a chatter box and is so adorable. Who knew a mechanical machine could be so loveable??

The book has been written so well and Marissa has Done such an amazing job on this book.
This book is Cinderella with a twist and its been created so perfectly. The evil step mom and step sister are just like the ones in cinderella!, although the other sister Peony is friends with Cinder which works well because having Peony there shows how kind Cinder is!

Sorry for the long review I write way to much!
I definitaly recommend this book to all Young Adult lovers, It's worth the read and you won't regret it!
I rated this book a 5/5 stars and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the Lunar Chronicles!

If you would like to comment down below your favorite character from Cinder and Why!

Happy reading everone!

Book Review - Paper Towns by John Green

Paper Towns by John Green

Goodreads summary: Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life—dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows.
After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues—and they’re for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees of the girl he thought he knew.

In my opinion, I did not find this book as good as I expected it to be. This novel has a lot of hype but I am not sure why, thats just in my opinion though.
I think the story line is a little too repetitive and gets boring after a while.

Lets talk about the main characters,
Quentin also known as Q, is a little more on the sensitive side, I think he is a down to earth boy and I think his character has grown to be stronger throughout the book.
Now theres Margo, I actually very much dislike her as a character. In my opinion Margo acts stuck-up and bitchy, she doesn't really care how people feel around her and she makes everything about herself. Margo is definitaly not one of my favorite characters.

Overall I think this book is okay but could be better.
Just remember that this review is all in my opinion, and by all means have a go reading this book yourself! Who knows, you may enjoy it! :)

Book Review - Alienated by Melissa Landers

Alienated by Melissa Landers

goodreads summary:

Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them. Handpicked to host the first-ever L’eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she’ll have inside information about the mysterious L’eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara’s blog following is about to skyrocket.Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking.But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class. Cara finds support in the last person she expected. She realizes that Aelyx isn’t just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. But Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and its potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in for the fight of her life—not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.

I rated Alienated a 5/5 stars. Honestly I love aliens, I would pick any book up without hesitation if it had aliens in it. So yes you could probably call me a Si-Fi freak!
I heard about this book while watching booktube videos and decided that this was a book that I was really interested in, so I purchased the book online and I was so excited to read it.
Within the first 5 pages I was already obsessed! By the time I was 20 pages in I had already named this one of my favorite books!
As I have already said, I love aliens, and in this book aliens have made contact with humans and Cara was chosen to be a host of an Alien exchange student, I found all of this so interesting and I had to find out what happened in the rest of the book.
It came to the point where I was excited to finish the school day and head home and read, How crazy is that? And I actually like school aswell!
Ok now it's time to talk about Aelyx, the alien who become Cara's exchange student. I LOVE Aleyx, he is definitaly an awesome character and he is most definitaly swoon worthy!
Also I love Cara! She is so funny and brings lot's of laughs into this book, her sarcasm is to die for!
Lets talk about the Romance now, ok I have to admit, both Aleyx and Cara's relationship is pretty damn adorable. It's also really interesting because you don't really expect aliens and humans to fall in love do you?
Also this book is in both Aelyx and Cara's perspective so you get to know both of their feelings and thoughts about the new species they will be meeting.

Overall this book is AMAZING and I definitaly recommend this book to any Sci-Fi lovers or any YA readers! :)
